Student Organization Description:
The purpose of the club is to offer and promote the sport of women’s ice hockey at a competitive level for students enrolled at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The club will be affiliated with the American College Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Alaska Girls’ and Women’s Hockey Association. Inc. (AGWH) The University of Alaska Fairbanks Women's Hockey Club has been recognized by the University of Fairbanks Alaska. Working with Alaska Girls' and Women's Hockey, Inc., sponsoring organization of Arctic Bears girls' high school hockey team in Fairbanks, UAF now has a very competitive women's hockey team competing at the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACAH) Division 2 level.
