New Student Orientation, Residence Life and Facilities Services will be offering the Nanook Express Shuttle for students flying into Fairbanks on August 31, 2008 and September 1, 2008.  This is a free shuttle service from the Fairbanks Airport to the UAF campus.  Please contact New Student Orientation at orientation@uaf.edu to confirm your flight information today.   More information will be posted at baggage claim in the Fairbanks International Airport.

In the spirit of providing quality equipment and experiences to our users, Outdoor Adventures has replaced some canoes. We will be doing a sealed-bid auction for the 5 used canoes we replaced. The bidding will begin the week of August 25th in the UAF Wood Center. We are selling four Wenonah canoes (starting bid of $650) and one Old Town canoe (starting bid of $450). Bids will be accepted until 5PM on Friday, August 29th. Essentially, come by the Wood Center, check out the canoes, look over the paperwork, place a bid and we'll contact you if you are the highest bidder.
