Downloading data from a thermistor string I placed in Lake El'gygytgyn, located inside a meteorite impact crater in Siberia.

My current research interests could broadly be categorized as the study of the impacts of climate change on the arctic landscape. I am privileged to be a part of several projects for the International Polar Year (IPY), working with some great colleagues throughout the world at field locations throughout arctic Alaska and Siberia. Please follow the links at left learn more about these projects.

We spent April to September 2008 in the Alaskan Arctic studying glaciers; you can learn all about it here.
