About this location

The North Campus area of UAF consists of nearly 1,100 acres of forest with miles of multi-use trails.  The area is used for both research and recreation. The trails include designated areas for skiing, hiking, dog walking and bike riding. Motorized vehicles are prohibited. The main access points for the trails system are on West Ridge and at Ballaine Lake.
