Research technician Kendra Calhoun shows off miniature apples being grown under test conditions near the Fairbanks experiment farm. The project, started by the late Bob Wheeler of UAF's Cooperative Extension Service, is looking into the possibility of developing locally grown fruit markets in rural Alaska.
