About this location

UAF residence halls are a convenient, secure and safe living environment. More than 1,200 students live on campus and enjoy fast Ethernet connections, basic telephone service and cable TV in each room. Campus housing is located near classrooms, food service and the Student Recreation Center, so almost everything students need is a short walk away. UAF has housing to meet student needs at all levels of their education experience – single undergraduate and graduate, families and non-traditional.

Moore-Bartlett-Skarland Complex – The MBS Complex includes three residence halls linked with a common area that includes the Hess Recreation Center, the Campus Cache and department offices. It is located between the main campus center and West Ridge.

Main campus housing – Other residence halls on campus are located close to the main campus center, near Lola Tilly Commons and the Student Recreation Center. These halls are Lathrop, Stevens, Nerland, McIntosh and Wickersham halls.

Other housing options on campus include –

The Cutler Apartment Complex has 59 two-bedroom units and one four-bedroom unit townhouse. Each apartment is fully furnished, including a kitchen, living area and a full bathroom.
