The ANNUAL MEETING OF THE UNIVERSITY WOMENS’ ASSOCIATION will be held
on May
1 at the home of Uma Bhatt, 1585 Gonzaga Way from 2:00 to 4:00 in the
afternoon. Refreshments will be provided. To get to Uma’s house take
Farmer’s Loop to Auburn Drive (the road to Pearl Creek Elementary School).
>From Auburn Drive turn Right onto Baylor Boulevard. Then take a slight Left
onto Eton Boulevard. Finally turn left onto Gonzaga Way. The driveway to
the house is on the left.
Our UWA BOARD met on Tuesday, April 5 at 2 p.m., at Irene Peyton's home.
INTERNATIONAL DINERS will hold a Patrick O'Brian dinner
on Saturday, April 23, 7 p.m. at Rita and Dan Osborne's home, 1107 Pika Rd
(Off Ballaine/Red Fox Rd). This dinner will depict British naval
officers'food and drink during the Napoleonic war era. Recipes are from
Lobscouse & Spotted Dog, a cookbook based upon the meals in the novels.

SALAD LUNCH: Barbara Braley will host a salad luncheon on April 20th
starting at noon. Please call her to RSVP and get directions. Her number

Cora Cook hosted the March luncheon. It was a lovely time with wonderful
salads and lively conversation.

We are sad to report that two of our treasured members are leaving for the
lower 48. Irene Peyton and Nancy Klammer will depart this summer. We will
surely miss them.
Join us for someSKIING OR WALKING! We meet three times a week and welcome
newcomers/beginners. We ski on Mondays starting at 1:30 and Fridays
starting at 10:45. There's a short loop that takes about a half hour and
longer versions that extend the outing for another half hour or so. Come
do what suits you. No need to phone ahead: just be at the parking lot by
Ballaine Lake within five minutes of the starting times. We walk on
Thursdays at 10:45 at the Big Dipper for an hour. Questions? Call Elizabeth
