>From Rita Osborne:
The Recycle Sale was held on Saturday 10/23 at UAF's Wood Center. A big
thanks to all the fantastic volunteers. We appreciated you giving up your
Saturday to make this sale available to our community. Thanks to Barbara
Day, Annette Freymuller, Sherry Hansen, Helen Howard, Carol Johnson, Roseann
Lamoreaux and her husband Dennis, Mariclare Langdon, Ruth Levey, Kathy
McGowan and her two children, Irene Peyton, Ruby Powers, Jane Reilly,
Beatriz Roederer, Bess Rounds, Elizabeth Shapland, Amythe Strobell, Judie
Triplehorn, and Alison York. Beth Olson provided us with information and
suggestions. Judie Triplehorn provided one of the four tag distribution
sites and gave us encouragement and suggestions. Cam Carlson and her husband
Bob continued to support the Recycle Sale and were there from early morning
to the end of the day. Georgene Nielsen and Rita Osborne were guided by
Cam's organizational skills and structure but found they were weeks behind.
Thanks to Cam and Bob for accepting our limitations and still giving us
their time. We will do a spring sale and show you how much we learned!
Thanks so much UWA members.

Boots needed: West Valley has a new class in outdoor exploration which
teaches outdoor survival skills. Students attend classroom presentations
AND also experience the outdoors which at this time of year is pretty
chilly. The biggest need is for winter boots, since many teens will not
wear them to school. If you can donate a pair, please drop them off at West
Valley (in care of Sven Grage or Carol
Johnson) or call Carol at 456-7999. Thank you.

Please send corrections or comments to Ruth Levey at rlevey4@gci.net or
phone 458-7161.
