Since our profit on the Holiday Bazaar was down due to bad weather
cancellations and refunds, it was moved and seconded to reduce our
scholarship offerings next semester to one $1500 scholarship and two $1000
scholarships for a total expenditure of $3500. The motion passed
unanimously.
It was also moved and seconded to give $250 to each of the following
campus-affiliated organizations:UAF Museum of the North Education Dept.,
KUAC, Summer Arts Festival and Campus Childcare Center. The motion passed
unanimously.
A donation can was circulated to collect money for the restoration of Rika's
Roadhouse in honor of Nan MacGregor-Scott, an active UWA member who passed
away in March. Nearly $200 was collected. The fund will go towards the
purchase of an elegant parlor stove for the Roadhouse. Barbara Braley will
take care of the details of the donation. Members wishing to contribute to
the fund should send checks made out to Whitestone Farms. Send contributions
