URSA encourages UAF faculty members, post-doctoral students and graduate students to become mentors by involving undergraduate researchers in their research and creative scholarship projects.
URSA has funds to support faculty members, post doctoral students and graduate students participating in or preparing for mentoring undergraduate students in research or creative projects. Each Fall, URSA releases a request for proposals for mentoring projects and/or travel.

UAF full-time faculty, post-docs or graduate students from all disciplines and campuses are invited to apply for URSA Mentoring Awards (up to $5000) in support of student research or creative projects or the development of programs for mentoring these activities.
