SUBJECT                Women's Self Defense Workshop

DATE & TIME          Feb. 7, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Women' s Center and the local chapter of the Tri Sigma sorority will sponsor a campus safety and self defense workshop Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. The course will be taught by UAF Police Chief Terry Vrabec. All women are invited to attend the free workshop which will be held at the Student Recreation Center on the upper level aerobics floor.

Refreshments along with a question and answer session will follow the workshop. "I am very excited about the great possibility of this workshop. All of us want to feel safe and I believe we will learn skills that will empower the women on this campus," said UAF Tri Sigma Coordinator Andrea Fletcher.
