SUBJECT: UAF to Host Author Peter Jenkins
LOCATION: Wood Center Carol Brown Ballroom on the UAF campus
DATE & TIME: Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at 7 p.m.
Peter Jenkins, author of "Looking for Alaska" published by
St. Martins Press and former University of Alaska writer in residence,
will give a craft talk and presentation to UAF students and the public.
The presentation will take place Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. in Wood Center
Ballroom on the UAF campus.
His first book, "A Walk Across America" has been a best seller
for more than 20 years. His other books include "Across China,"
"Close Friends," "Along the Edge of America" and the
picture book, "The Untamed Coast."
Jenkins is in Fairbanks as part of a week-long tour as guest speaker
in high schools and on college campuses in Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer,
Wasilla and Seward.
The Wood Center event is co-sponsored by UAFs journalism department,
English department and the honors program.
