                               from 4:30-8 p.m. at the UAF Downtown Center, 510 2nd Ave., Room 103

A depression screening is being offered by the UAF Center for Health and Counseling on Thursday, Oct. 7. UAF is taking part in the National Depression Screening Day by providing outreach at two locations: the Wood Center Multi-level Lounge, from 12-4 p.m.; and the UAF Downtown Center, 510 2nd Ave., Room 103, from 4:30-8 p.m.

The free screening is open to all adolescents and adults. Each participant will complete a brief, 13-item questionnaire and review the results with a mental health professional. Bonnie Brody and Tima Preiss, both clinicians who run private practices in Fairbanks, will join six UAF health center staff in administering the screening. Referral information will also be available at both locations. General information is available by calling 474-7030.
