John Troy signs the act changing the college's name in 1935 to the University of Alaska. Shonbeck (both members of the Board of Regents), and Territorial Speaker of the House J.S. Hofman. Seated: Regent Grace Wickersham, Gov. Troy, Regent Harriet Hess, and Rep. George Lingo, who was both an alumnus and a regent.
