Photo Gallery: Fairbanks Community

Vitaliy Lednev, a sculptor from a village in the Ural Mountains of Russia, carves a block of ice into a piece of art in front of the Lola Tilly Commons in the UAF campus. Lednev came to Fairbanks to compete in the 2004 World Ice Art Championships and along with other artists was contracted to create a series of ice sculptures around campus.
