SUBJECT: Golden Days Historic Photo Sale

Purchase a bit of Fairbanks history this week at the semi-annual Golden Days photo sale. Copies of historic Alaskan and Yukon photographs from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Rasmuson Library Archives will be for sale on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 17-18, between 10 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Noel Wien Library auditorium. Thousands of copies of photographs will be available from the Alaska and Polar Regions Department. Sizes range from 5" x 7" to 20" x 24" of landscapes, buildings, people, events, and activities with discounted prices. While you're there, view silent, rare film footage of early Fairbanks and Alaska from the late 1920s through Statehood. New to the photo sale this year is, "Treasures from the Vault," reproductions of rare maps and other items housed in the archives.
The photo sale benefits the Noel Wien Library and helps continue the historic preservation work of the UAF Alaska and Polar Regions Department.
