SHIPPING

Q. What are my shipping options?

We ship both UPS and via the US Postal Service. We are happy to provide you with exact shipping costs by phone, toll free 1-888-252-6657.

Q. How long will it take to receive my books?

Because all our books are shipped from our warehouse in Fairbanks, Alaska, it may take longer than you expect to receive your order if you live in the Lower 48 states. Usually, media mail takes between 4 to 6 weeks from Alaska. Priority mail and UPS Ground service take 4 to 7 business days.

Q. How do I request a catalog?

We are happy to provide you with our most recent catalogs. Please call us toll free or e-mail us at fypress@uaf.edu.

DISCOUNT BOOKS

Q. Do you ever discount books?

Yes. We often have books that are slightly damaged that we sell at a discount. Please call us to inquire about prices, which range between 20% and 80% off the retail price depending on the amount of damage. Damaged books are not returnable.

PRE-ORDERING

Q. Can I pre-order a book that hasn't been published yet?

Yes. You can pre-order any of our forthcoming books. We will ship your book as soon as the book is published.

REVIEW COPY POLICY FOR INSTRUCTORS

Q. How do I request a book for possible course adoption?

Please mail or fax us your request on school or university letterhead. Our fax number is 1-907-474-5502. Please include the following information:

name and level of course
projected enrollment
semester the course will be taught
address (street address preferred)
whether the book has been adopted or is being considered for adoption

Q. How do I request a book for review?

Please mail or fax us your request on letterhead. Our fax number is 1-907-474-5502. Please include the following information:

your name and title
publication or media name
phone number
street address
readership (general, scholarly, professional, enthusiast, etc.)

Requests are honored at the discretion of the press staff when sufficient stock of the title is available. We do not honor requests for more than two copies of a single title.
Please remember that we ship from Alaska, and we may not be able to meet your deadlines without at least three weeks advance notice.
