About Us The Women's Center originally began as a volunteer organization in 1994. It has been sustained through the effort of many volunteers and Women's Studies faculty. The Women's Center is under the supervision of Earlina Bowden Office of Equal Opportunity. The Women's Center Manager is M. Kayt Sunwood, Ph.D. (shown below with an ice carving of UAF's Nanook mascot)
