The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is offering campus housing for Inuit Studies Conference attendees at a rate of $38.50 per night. This special university housing rate will apply three (3) days before and three (3) days after the official conference dates of August 1-3, 2002.

Room cancellation policy: 72 hours prior to arrival. Rooms must be guaranteed with a credit card. Upon request, a confirmation notice can be sent verifying receipt of your reservation.

University housing includes one twin bed, mattress, dresser, desk, desk chair and closet. Rooms have computer network connections (ethernet). The UAA residence halls are nonsmoking facilities.

University housing accommodations must be made through Visions Meeting Management. To do so, fax the UAA Housing Reservation Form to (907) 562-2016. Deadline for UAA Housing Reservations to be received is July 12, 2002.

 
Alternate Accommodations
Anchorage Midtown Residence Inn
 
Alternate accommodations are available at the Residence Inn, Anchorage. The Residence Inn is offering a special conference rate of $161.00 per night plus 8% tax. This special guest room rate will apply three (3) days prior to and three (3) days after the official conference dates of August 1-3, 2002.
   
Reservations for the Residence Inn must be made with the hotel directly by calling (907) 563-9844. You must indicate you are with the Inuit Studies Conference.

Residence Inn reservations will be taken until July 12, 2002 on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations received after the cutoff date will be accepted on a space-available basis and a higher rate may apply.

The hotels check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 noon.
