W. Balser
- has been manager of the Toolik GIS program since its inception in
January 2001. His background includes GIS & Remote Sensing for
ecological and forestry research, and for landscape management and
local area government. Current duties include directing the Toolik
GIS program, scoping and performing spatial/analytical projects in
consultation with the Toolik community, outreach to the agencies,
management and administration, and involvement in the development
of regional and circumarctic GIS and spatial data initiatives.

Jason J. Stuckey - joined Toolik GIS in March 2007. His background includes GIS & Remote Sensing for various applications including geomorphic change analysis, and real-time mapping of forest fires. He also has extensive experience collecting field data using various methods such as surveying, GPS, and standard field method procedures. Current duties include assisting the Toolik research community with GPS and GIS needs, updating the spatial database to keep track of new research plots, as well as carrying out requests by researchers for specialized needs.
