Toolik
Field Station upgraded to a survey grade (Trimble 5700) GPS base
station in May 2004 with the assistance of Bjorn Johns of UNAVCO.

Below
are pictures of the installation and field demo for camp residents
on May 11, 2004. The demo employed realtime (RTK) survey grade equipment
to locate small objects buried in the snow.
Field accuracy was in the 2-4cm range.
