Students may ask to challenge any course not ending in 90 - 99 by completing a Credit by Examination form and presenting it to the appropriate department or the instructor of the course being challenged.  It is up to the discretion of the department or instructor to decide which courses can be challenged, testing method and grading procedures. 

Return the Credit By Examination form to Testing Services to register for the exam.  The fee is $40 per credit hour and must be paid prior to taking exams.

Testing Services offers the Library Competency Examination to students wanting to challenge LS 101X or LS 100X.  There is no credit awarded for passing this test, however a passing score of 85 percent substitutes for this core Baccalaureate core requirement. 

Register for the exam by returning the completed Library Competency Examination form to Testing Services.  The fee for this exam is $25 and it an be taken in either paper/pencil format or online using your active Blackboard account.

Testing Services offers the Computer Skills Placement exam via ACCUPLACER, which meets the requirement for the AIS 101 course that is required for those earning a BBA degree from UAF.  There is no credit awarded for passing this test, however a passing score of 70 percent substitutes for this baccalaureate degree requirement. 

Register for the exam by returning the completed Computer Skills Placement Examination form to Testing Services.  The fee for this exam is $25 and it can be taken in a proctored environment at UAF Testing Services or other designated remote testing locations; call Testing Services at 474-5277 or stop by 211 Gruening Building.
