COMPUTER-BASED TESTS

Computer-Based Tests | ACCUPLACER, CLEP, HOBET and NET Testing

UAF Testing Services houses a computer-based testing center located in 211 Gruening, and offers the following exams in computer format:

Computer-Based Tests - you can register for any of the following tests through the Testing Services office. Register for an exam over the phone with a credit card, or register in person with a credit card, money order or personal check.

• GRE - Graduate Record Examinations
• PRAXIS I - Professional Assessments for Beginning Teachers

Testing is conducted at the following times on a space available basis.

CLEP, NET and HOBET Testing

UAF offers CLEP (College Level Examination Program) Tests. The CLEP fee is $95 which includes a $25 administrative fee. To register for an exam, print out the CLEP registration form (PDF 8K) and return to the Testing Services office with your $25 administrative fee. The $70 CLEP fee will be collected at your scheduled test date. To register over the phone with a credit card, contact us.

The NET (Nurse Entrance Test) and HOBET (Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test) fee is $40. To register for an exam, print out the NET/HOBET registration form (PDF 6K) and return to Testing Services with your $40 fee. Contact us to register over the phone with a credit card.

CLEP, NET and HOBET tests are offered at the following times:

ACCUPLACER - UAF's Placement Exam

ACCUPLACER is mandatory for any course requiring a prereguisite and/or placement test, and for students applying to a certificate and/or associates' degree program. Accuplacer exams are offered individually for English, Math and Reading, or any combination of these three. ACCUPLACER exams are free if taken for UAF, and offered as follows:
