COURSE MATERIALS

Materials pertaining to sustainable community design and northern building science will be distributed or links provided throughout the course. Assignments will be discussed in class and distributed electronically and/or in class. Guidelines for Student Design Competition will be handed out and discussed at the first class.

2009-2010 Alaska Housewise, Alaska HomeWise is a half-hour radio program produced by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service and CCHRC. The program features topics on proper building techniques, building materials, saving energy, saving money and living ‘green.’ The first half of the show is an interview with an expert on one topic. The second half of the show is a question/answer session with one of the CCHRC’s building and energy experts.
