It's almost 4 a.m. in Bartlett Hall and Alex Grantham, Katie Adlam and I are standing in the second floor men's restroom staring at the bathtub. My dog is sniffing around the small shower area unsure of why we are here, but unlike Scooby Doo, he isn't uncovering any clues in this unsolved murder. Sophie Sergie was found here, April 26, 1993, shot in the head with her pants and underwear down around her ankles... Sledders beware: thrills and spills on the sledding hill The risks are stated in no uncertain terms: "WARNING: UAF Sledding Hill Users…Risks of Injuries and Death include High Speed Collision with Users, Trees, Fencing, Fixtures, Ice, Rocks, Rough Terrain, Animals, Sleds, Skis, Snowboards." Summer Sessions: it's not just core classes anymore Spring Break is over, but still winter's cold hand firmly grips UAF. Despite the snow and ice that still blankets the world, it's time for students to plan for Summer Session...

The study of literature is vital to our society—and, of course, by that I mean GOOD literature. That was my son Cramer Hickey on last week's cover... It is each student's responsibility to make sure they have completed their financial aid paperwork correctly. It was Robinson Duffy's responsibility to make sure that the forms he submitted were correct, and not missing anything... It seems that the Financial Aid office didn't appreciate my editorial last week—which doesn't really surprise me. I was impressed with how quickly they acted to look into the problem, moving with astoundingly unbureaucratic efficiency...
