Nooks win nail-biter, hit the road

Showing the kind of poise it will take to win the conference, the Nanooks men's  basketball team earned a well-deserved victory Jan. 24 against conference rival Northwest Nazarene Crusaders.

Ice sculptures appear on campus

All around campus, four-thousand-pound blocks of ice are being transformed into carvings of bears, warriors, and Eskimos. Vitaly Martinets and Craig Anderson of Ice Alaska have been carving the blocks into ice sculptures over the past several days.

Nanooks Lose Narrow 68-60 Decision At Seattle University

A 9-1 Seattle University run midway through the first half spelled doom for the Nanooks as the University of Alaska Fairbanks dropped a 68-60 decision at SU in women's basketball action Saturday night.
