Under the influence

A vehicle was stopped Sept. 22 for hitting the curb on Kuskokwim Drive. The driver was cited for being under the influence of alcohol and under age.

On Sept. 22 an intoxicated male in Bartlett hall refused to identify himself to residence life staff. He ran from the staff and was later found fallen down a flight of stairs, unconscious. He was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for treatment.

On Sept. 23, a speeding truck hit the embankment and get stuck. The driver was found to have a blood alcohol content level of .206. He was arrested.

Too much free time

Someone reported a suspicious man in a van in the Eielson lot. He was contacted and was found to be a contract custodian at UAF. He was transported off campus and asked to only return on his work hours.

Anger management

In the Taku parking lot a man became enraged when another driver accidentally bumped him. He jumped on the car and hit the windshield with his fists, causing damage to the glass. The two parted ways. Police were contacted but the attacker wasn’t found.

Pipe Dreams

In the Taku parking lot, a woman was stopped for a vehicle equipment violation. The responding officer smelled marijuana. When asked, the woman produced a marijuana pipe. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released.

In stolen items on September 21….

A bike was stolen from the MBS bike racks.

A laptop was taken from an office.

A stolen iPod was sold on the Internet. The item has yet to be found.
