LIT UP
A student who used a lit can of hairspray to chase others down a hallway caused a fire alarm to go off in Moore Hall on Wednesday at 8 p.m. No damage was done to the building or people involved, but police are pursuing charges of reckless endangerment.
PEE PARTIES
People hanging out of a vehicle's window and peeing were reported to the police April 23. The vehicle and occupants were located, given verbal warnings and trespassed from campus.
A male standing on the rear balcony and peeing in the Cutler Apartment Complex and possibly smoking marijuana was reported April 24. Police confiscated the pot and arrested the resident, Lori Echuck, 19, of Goodnews Bay for disorderly conduct and minor consuming of alcohol.
CHEATER
A citizen on April 21 reported the license plate of a suspicious vehicle occupied by a male who appeared to be taking pictures of children on Chena Hot Springs Road. Police found that the man was attempting to get photographic proof of an affair his girlfriend was in.
DRUNK DRIVERS
A vehicle was stopped on Geist road Thursday at 2 a.m. and the driver registered a .115 blood alcohol content. Shawn Tufford, 24, of Fairbanks, was arrested.
A vehicle was stopped on Tanana Loop on Friday. The driver failed the sobriety test but the blood alcohol content was under the legal limit. The driver was released to the passenger.
STOLEN ITEMS
A North Pole woman was indicted April 11 following an investigation by UAF police into a theft of a wallet from someone at University Park and the illegal use of credit cards contained inside it.
The theft was reported Dec. 13. After the investigation, UAF police identified Bettty Holder, 37, of North Pole, as the person responsible for using the stolen cards illegally. She was indicted on two counts of fraudulent use of an access device and two counts of theft in the third degree.
A purple women's Schwinn bicycle was reported stolen from the west side of the Rasmuson Library on Thursday.
