CAR PROBLEMS
There were three vehicle accidents on March 23. One was on Thompson Drive at 7 p.m., one was in the MBS parking lot around 11 p.m., and one was in the Arctic Health parking lot around midnight.
A vehicle's slashed tires were reported to police March 25 at 6:48 p.m. The vandalism occurred while the vehicle was parked for an hour and a half. The owner had the vehicle towed away.
VEHICLE STOPS
Police found marijuana in a vehicle that was stopped for driving recklessly on Thursday. Jonathan Henry, 19, of Fairbanks, was cited and released.
UAF police stopped a vehicle on the Johansen Expressway for displaying seasonal tabs, and found the driver to have a suspended license on March 25. Michael Yewell, 33, of North Pole, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and warned for the misuse of plates.
A vehicle driving without headlights was stopped and the driver was found to be driving under the influence on March 24 around 1 a.m. Brandon Uzzell, 21, of Fairbanks, registered at a .081 blood alcohol content and was arrested.
A vehicle that made an illegal stop was stopped March 24 by police, who found that the license plate tab had been switched with another. Police cited Christopher Kinsey, 24, of Fairbanks.
THEFT & FAKES
Police received a report of a stolen phone card with $166 left of minutes on it from the Brooks Building on Thursday.
Several counterfeit bills were reported Thursday from the Wood Center. The bills had been received on previous days. The investigation is on-going.
HAPPY HOUR
Two people were reported drinking in the Rasmuson Library on March 26 at around 12:30 a.m. Police found Abraham Esmil, 56, of North Pole, to be violating the conditions of his release. He was arrested and taken to FCC.
SNOWMACHINER
An officer saw a snowmachine headed to a fenced-in area of campus Thursday. There have been previous reports of snowmachines ruining the fences and research fields in that area.
WARRANT
A man who came into the police station to discuss a past citation was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Jeremiah Davidson, 18, of Nenana, was taken to Fairbanks Correctional Center.
CHILD ALONE
An unattended child left in a vehicle on Thompson drive was reported to police on March 26 around 6 p.m. Police did not locate the vehicle.
