VEHICLE STOPS

Police cited Nanook basketball player Jushay Rockett for driving without a valid driver's license March 3.

Rockett, 23, of Fairbanks was found in a parked vehicle on South Chandalar Road at 11:45 p.m., police said. The vehicle was blocking traffic.

Rockett was cited and released.

A driver who didn't stop at a stop sign was pulled over by police and found to be extremely argumentative and hostile at 8:17 a.m. March 9, police said.

Monique Haas, 38, of Fairbanks tried to drive away after being cited by an officer, police said. She was restrained and cited again for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and attempted failure to stop for a police officer.

A driver was cited for driving with seasonal tags on College Road on March 9.

Paul Lockler, 49, of Fairbanks said he knew the vehicle was not supposed to be driven, according to police.

Police stopped a vehicle spotted weaving and hitting a curb on College Road on March 9 at 9:42 p.m.

Driver Michael Whalen, 49, of Fairbanks was found to be driving under the influence, police said. He was charged with refusal to submit to a breath test.

MINOR CRIMES

An intoxicated male was reported wandering around the Cutler Apartment Complex parking lot at 5:11 a.m. on March 10, police said.

Trevor Redfox, 20, of Fairbanks was found intoxicated, police said. He had previous citations for minor consuming. Police arrested and transported him to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

SUSPICIOUS ACTS

A person saw an altercation between a woman and a man on March 9, and said the man had forced woman into the car by the man.

Police received the report and located the vehicle. The woman reported that everything was fine and that no criminal activity had occurred.

Water was reportedly thrown on a door and door handle of an apartment door in the Cuter Apartment Complex on March 3.
