DRUNK MAN DOWN
Police assisted Alaska State Troopers with an intoxicated man who was found lying down in the road in the Chena Ridge area Thursday. He was taken into protective custody.
THEFT
Police received a report of a lost HP scientific calculator in Duckering on Thursday.
Police received a report of the theft or loss of some personal documents from an apartment in Harwood Hall on Jan. 13.
Police received a report of the theft of a two-way radio on Jan. 6 that was mistakenly left in the Brooks building a few days earlier.
Police received a report of a stolen specialized Hard Rock mountain bike from the Wood Center on Jan 3.
Police are investigating the possible theft of computers or their parts from UAF on Jan. 3.
VEHICLE CRIMES
Police received a report of a motor vevhicle accident on the corner of Thompson Drive and Geist on Jan. 12. One vehicle reportedly failed to yield while turning onto Thompson Drive and was struck by the second vehicle. The first vehicle was cited for failing to yield.
Police received a report of a motor vehicle hit-and-run on Jan. 10 on Alumni Drive. After running an errand, the driver of the vehicle reported the accident to the police station. The driver was cited for failure to carry proof of insurance.
Police stopped a vehicle at facilities services Jan. 9 and found the driver to be a Fairbanks resident with a revoked operator's license. Nicole Nordstrand, 34, was arrested and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center.
Police stopped a vehicle on North Tanana Drive for an equipment violation on Jan. 3. The driver, Andre Clark, 25, of Fairbanks, was found to be driving with a revoked license. Two passengers were cited for minor consuming, and one was taken into protective custody for alcohol incapaciation.
Police performed a welfare check on a vehicle in the ditch on Geist Road on Dec. 29. The officer detected signs of intoxication on the driver. Florence Folger, 49, of Fairbanks, later registered a .146 BAC and was arrested.
Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident in the Facilities Services lot on Dec. 27. An unoccupied vehicle reportedl rolled and hit another vehicle, which hit another vehicle.
Police stopped a vehicle on the corner of Chena Pump and Amherst on Dec. 26. Kevin Balcom, 22, of Fairbanks, was found to have an oustanding warrant and was arrested and transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
