DISORDERLY CONDUCT
An officer investigated a loud explosion at the Cutler Apartments on Oct. 15 around 3 a.m.
The officer overheard a conversation that included Brandan Fliris, 23, in which he talked about getting a firearm and shooting off some rounds, police said. The officer contacted Fliris, who acknowledged making loud statements about shooting guns right after an explosion was very inappropriate, police said.
Police arrested Fliris for disorderly conduct on the grounds that he was recklessly creating a hazardous condition for others, and transported him to the Fairbanks Correctional Center. Police also trespassed him from UAF.
MALICIOUS MISCHIEF
Police received a report Oct. 17 that someone damaged a locked map cabinet in the Rasmuson Library in an attempt to get access.
VEHICLE CRIMES
Police received a report of a motor vehicle hit-and-run on Oct. 17 around 12:30 p.m. in the upper parking lot at Moore Hall.
CREDIT CARDS
Police were told Oct. 14 about a wallet that was stolen from the Bunnell Computer Lab a week earlier. A credit card in the wallet had unauthorized activity on its account.
Police received a report from someone in O'Neill on Oct. 17 of the illegal use of the victim's credit card for an online transaction.
ALCOHOL
Police pulled over a vehicle Oct. 14 shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Tanana Loop for not having its lights on. The driver, Michael Garbowski, 21, had been driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. Police arrested him after he registered a .101 breath analysis concentration, police said.
An officer contacted an occupied vehicle in the Cutler Apartment parking lot Oct. 15 at 2:20 a.m. A female in the vehicle had been drinking underage, police said. She was cited for her first offense and released, police said.
