JOYRIDICULOUS

A traffic stop on Chena Pump Road April 18 at 2:35 a.m. turned into a chase when the vehicle refused to stop. When it finally stopped the occupants fled on foot, and numerous officers were unable to locate them. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and said that the car had been stolen form him. Fairbanks police were already on the theft case, and they took over investigation of the incident.

SEX ASSAULT?

Police received a report of sexual assault in Macintosh Hall April 17 at 12:46 a.m. but found the report to be fictitious on investigation. The intoxicated victim was held in protective custody for an undisclosed period of time. The matter was turned over to UAF administration for further action.

FLAME ON

A fire alarm was manually set off in the Fine Arts building on April 19 and was later determined to be criminal mischief. The same three juveniles that were involved were also involved in setting a fire on April 20. Charges are pending in the juvenile system for arson and criminal mischief.

HACKS

A computer server located in Bethel was hacked into and personal information may have been compromised. This report was entered April 21.

ENJOY COKE

Police made a traffic stop on Geist Road April 15 due to the driver's failure to stop at a red light. Because to the driver's past drug involvement, a police dog was called in to sniff for possible drugs. The dog alerted to drugs, and in a search that followed, officers found several ounces of cocaine. The driver, Teffin C. Goss, 24, of Fairbanks, was arrested and the vehicle was impounded for a more in-depth search.

UAF officers assisted with a search warrant involving a possible meth lab on Middle Fork Road April 21.

After a traffic stop on the sidewalk in front of Macintosh Hall April 14 at 1:56 a.m, the driver, Robin K. Mullican, 20, of Fairbanks, was found to be driving under the influence and under the legal drinking age. She later registered a .169 BrAC and was arrested.

NATURE HIKE

Someone reported several suspicious persons in the parking lot of the post office on April 15. A responding officer located one of them who had some marijuana. The man was cited and released.

LATHROP THIEVERY

The theft of a cell phone and a camera from a room in Lathrop Hall was reported April 13.

The theft of a video camera and an iPod from a room in Lathrop Hall was reported April 16.

Police received a late report of the theft of an iPod from a room in Lathrop Hall. The incident occurred April 7.

A digital camera was reported stolen from a room in Lathrop Hall April 20.

ODDS AND ENDS

Vandalism to several bicycles at the Alumni Drive bike rack was reported April 17. The rear wheels appeared to have been kicked.

The theft of cash and a drill from an ex-employee of the SRC was reported April 18. The alleged event occurred last year.

A small safe was found in the woods off Denali Lane April 21 at 8 a.m. Local law enforcement agencies were contacted about past safe thefts or burglaries.

A bike was reported stolen at Rasmuson Library April 15.

A bike was reported stolen from the bike rack at the Wood Center April 21.

Paper towels were reportedly dumped in toilets and urinals in Gruening on April 18.

Possible vandalism to a tire in the Cutler lot was reported April 17.
