UHH… JUST KIDDING A female came to the Police Department around 4 a.m. Feb. 11 to report being assaulted by her roommate. Subsequent investigation found that both were intoxicated under the legal age. The victim declined to press criminal charges, and both were to be cited for underage drinking. During the investigation, police contacted James T. Lord, 20, at his residence. Lord was found to be drinking in violation of his parole and possessed marijuana. He was arrested. PLEASE, ARREST ME After driving away from the nearby Holiday station Feb. 16 with a gas pump nozzle still in the car's gas tank, a Delta Junction man was caught driving under the influence. Micahel R. Strong refused to submit to a breath test and was arrested for that and DUI. BROOM DOOM A broomball player assaulted a referee during a match Feb. 14 at the Patty Center. The ref declined to press criminal charges, but the Athletics Department and the Dean of Students are investigating the incident. WALK THE LINE After a traffic stop on a weaving vehicle on Geist Road around 3:30 a.m. Feb. 17, police arrested driver Ciera I. Shaver for driving under the influence. Shaver registered a .145 breath alcohol content. POETIC LICENSES ONLY Police arrested a woman for driving with a revoked license around 3:30 a.m. Feb. 11 when her vehicle was impeding traffic on College Road. Christina N. Wright, 31, was taken to jail. Police stopped a woman for speeding and driving over a curb Feb. 11 on College Road. Jessica A. Simmons was found to be driving with a suspended license. She was arrested for that and reckless driving. After a stop for speeding Feb. 11 on College Road, police arrested Terrance A. Reynolds, Jr., 22, for driving with a suspended license. ART APPRECIATION Police received a report Feb. 12 that an ice sculpture had been stolen from outside the Wood Center. The ice sculpture was found in a parking lot with considerable damage to it. |
