NOT EXACTLY ROMEO
An intoxicated male attempting to enter an apartment at the Cutler Apartment Complex was arrested after throwing an object through a window and shattering it around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 18. Ryan P. Ladegaard, 23 of Anchorage, was arrested for criminal mischief.

SUGAR DADDY
UPD assisted the Alaska State Troopers with a theft of services call after a taxi passenger failed to pay for their ride on Hess Avenue just before midnight Jan. 10. Arriving officers talked with the intoxicated individual, who then became disorderly. Martha Tritt, 42, was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to Fairbanks Correctional Center. Tritt's husband and the cab driver worked out a payment plan for the debt.

PROTECTING THE PERIMETER
University police made an off-campus arrest during the early morning of Jan. 19 after stopping a motorist on Geist Road for an equipment violation. Richard L. Halfhill, 45, was found to be driving with a revoked license. He was arrested and the vehicle was impounded.


Police stopped a vehicle on College Road around 3 a.m. Jan. 14 for numerous equipment and moving violations and found the driver, Tyler R. Skrivanek, 23, to be driving under the influence. Skrivanek was arrested, registering a .120 breath alcohol content, and during a search of his person a small amount of marijuana was discovered.

ZIG ZAGS
Police stopped a vehicle observed weaving on West Tanana Loop around 2 a.m. Jan. 20. Eric J Perdergrass, 23, was found to be driving under the influence and later registered a .127 breath alcohol content. Perdergrass was arrested.

POT-POURRI
After failing to stop at a stop sign on Taku Drive Jan. 11, a driver was pulled over and later cited for possession of marijuana. During the traffic stop, an officer noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant, which later revealed a quantity of marijuana. Shaun F. Ostnes, 25, was cited for misconduct involving a controlled substance.

BOOZE, BREATH, BLOOD
An anonymous caller reported a possible drunk driver at the bus stop Jan. 12. Police contacted the driver, who had backed out of a parking spot and was blocking traffic, and found that he was indeed intoxicated. Vincent F. Wright, 42, registered a .108 breath alcohol content. Wright then requested a blood test, and while at the hospital he became disorderly. He was eventually arrested for DUI and disorderly conduct.
