BEEN BURGLED? On Wednesday, a student reported their vehicle broken into and audio components stolen while it was parked behind the Upper Dorms. The incident happened between 11:30 p.m. Sept. 13 and 6 p.m. Sept. 14. Police received a report of two vehicles broken into in the Harper parking lot Sept. 16. A stereo system was stolen from one vehicle. Police responded to a North Chandalar residence for a possible burglary Sept. 17. Some of the lower windows were broken, and an investigation is continuing. Anyone with information regarding these cases is asked to contact the UAF Police Department at 474-7721. LACKING LICENSE Police stopped a vehicle on West Tanana Drive for speeding, around 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15. The driver, Bryan Lee Duszynski, was found to have a cancelled license and was issued a court summons. TRY THE HANDLE Staff at the Lola Tilly Commons reported than an unknown individual had broken the glass door at the main entrance around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15. BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL Police stopped a vehicle on Alumni Drive for ignoring a stop sign around 2:45 a.m. Sept. 17. The driver, Zachary August Mannix, was found to have a breath alcohol content of .159, and was booked at Fairbanks Correctional Center. The passenger was cited for minor consuming alcohol. EARLY MORNING RUMBLE Police responded to Lathrop Hall for a reported fight around 3 a.m. Sept. 18. One male was taken to the hospital for a head laceration, and another was trespassed from UAF property. SAY MY NAME Police stopped a vehicle on College road for speeding around 1 a.m. Sept. 18. The driver, John Howard Bigjoe, was intoxicated and provided a false name to police. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a breath alcohol content of .169. Bigjoe was also arrested for driving with a revoked license, and providing a false report to police. He also had two previous DUI convictions, making this one a felony. SKATE NOT LEST YE BAIL THYSELF An individual was skateboarding near the police station around 11 p.m. Sept. 15. He was advised not to do so and given a trespass warning |
