Police Blotter

OFF CAMPUS SEARCHES

K9 Briko assisted Airport police Feb. 4 with a drug sniff on an impounded vehicle and an item seized from a person who had been arrested. Briko indicated the odor of narcotics coming from both the vehicle and the item, and Airport police were applying for a search warrant.

University officers assisted other area law enforcement units with serving search warrants Feb. 9. K9 Briko sniffed for illegal contraband.

University officers assisted the Fairbanks police with serving search warrants in the Fairbanks area Feb. 9.

BLOOD OF CHRIST

A box of wine used in catholic mass was stolen from a locked cabinet in the Schaible Auditorium Feb. 6. The cabinet had been pried open.

DO NOT ENTER

After a fight at Moore Hall around 1:30 a.m. Feb. 6, police arrived to interview both parties, including one individual whom they called "uncooperative." The uncooperative subject, who had been drinking underage, had apparently entered the victim's room without consent and after ignoring a request to leave, a fight ensued. The victim declined to press charges, but police issued a citation for minor consuming and took the offender to jail for a protective custody hold.

BOUNCED

Police contacted an individual attempting to enter the MBS dorms without checking in Feb. 10. He was not affiliated with UAF and was trespassed.

HEIST HITS HARWOOD

A paper folder was reported missing from Harwood Hall Feb. 4.

ODDS AND ENDS

A broken window on a truck topper was reported in the Arctic Health parking lot Feb. 5. It appeared that the damage was not malicious in nature.

A lost cell phone was reported Feb. 4.

A past hit and run accident was reported Feb. 9.
