Police Blotter

FICTIONALIZED

A woman reported three black males had sexually assaulted her at McIntosh Hall early the morning of Feb. 3. After a thorough investigation, she admitted the story was made up and no charges were filed.

SITTING SHOTGUN

An unsecured shotgun was found inside a vehicle parked near the intersection of Farmers Loop and North Tanana around 6:30 a.m. Feb. 1. An officer took the shotgun for safekeeping and a note was left with the vehicle.

THREAT LEVEL MAGENTA

An angry caller left an anonymous message at the KUAC studios Jan. 31 complaining about a particular program. The caller threatened to call Al Qaeda, and police notified the FBI.

FIRST TAKE CARE OF HEAD

Police were notified of a person in need of psychological assistance at the Gruening Building Feb. 1. The subject was located and escorted to medical authorities.

OWNING UP

After a report of a student kicking in a glass door at the Bunnell building Jan. 28, the student came to the police department to accept responsibility. He will pay for replacement of the glass but was not criminally charged.

RETURN TO SENDER

An intoxicated male at the Upper Dorms around 1 a.m. Jan. 29 was taken into custody because police could not determine where he lived. He was taken to detox for the night and cited for minor consuming.

ME, MYSELF, AND I

A man talking to himself was reported from the Fine Arts Building Jan. 28. He was located and found to be OK.

BITE OUT OF CRIME

Officers gave a presentation on crime prevention Jan. 31 at the Police Department.

PARKING PARTROL PROSECUTES PERPETRATOR

A vehicle parked illegally in a resident spot near Harwood Hall was impounded Jan. 28.
