Police Blotter

EARLY MORNING ANGER

A drunk and disorderly male attracted the police to the Chapman Building Nov. 6 around 6 a.m. He was contacted by police and repeatedly warned to quiet down. Eventually, 21-year-old Teddy M. John was arrested for disorderly conduct.

 

TILT-O-METER

UAF police assisted the Fairbanks Police Department with a rolled over vehicle on Airport Way and Wilbur Street just before 4 a.m. Nov. 12. Christopher J. Bleavins, 22, of Ft. Wainwright was found to be intoxicated with a breath alcohol content of .098. Bleavins was arrested and taken to jail.

 

WINDOW SHOPPING

A stereo was reported stolen from a vehicle in the MBS parking lot Nov. 11. A window had been broken out.

 

NO ONE HERE BUT US CHICKENS

The smell of marijuana was noticed coming from a room in Moore Hall Nov. 8. An officer responded, but no one was present at the time. The report was forwarded to Residence Life for any administrative actions.

 

OLD SCHOOL

High school administrators at West Valley informed UAF police Nov. 5 of a suspicious individual in the library who was suspected of being a university student.

 

ROCKIN' THE HOUSE

An accident between a delivery truck and the Butrovich Building was reported Nov. 8.

 

COMPUTER CRIME

A possible computer fraud case was reported Nov. 5. A buyer at Amazon.com was attempting to purchase a laptop from a seller with no history, and $800 was lost in the transaction.

 

A possible fraud case was reported Nov. 8 involving university computers at the Patty Center. An investigation is ongoing.

 

STOLEN

A bicycle was reported stolen from near the Rasmuson Library Nov. 10.

 

A minor motor vehicle accident was reported on Peger Road Nov. 10.

 

An individual who had been involved in a previous assault was contacted and trespassed from campus Nov. 11.

 

Harassment to an individual was reported to the Police Department Nov. 11.

 

Possible harassment on the UAF campus was reported Nov. 8.

 

A vehicle with seasonal plates was stopped on Kuskokwim Drive just after midnight Nov. 10. The driver was cited and released.

 

Cash was reportedly stolen from a desk drawer in the Irving Building Nov. 4.

 

A minor motor vehicle accident was reported at the Physical Plant Nov. 5.

 

Officers assisted an ambulance crew with a fall victim Nov. 5.
