Thank you for the eye-opening editorial on squandered student fees. As a full-time student with a full-time job, it is often a struggle for me to pay for a full-time education and all of the fees that are associated with it. It is extremely disappointing to know that my "student" fees are in fact not directly benefiting all students. I know exactly what I would use my student fees towards if I didn't have to give it to ASUAF. I might use it to help pay for my daughter's day care expenses, or for my books that I usually have to put on my credit card because I can't afford to pay for it all at once. Perhaps instead of spending more of our money, the ASUAF senators should spend more of their time finding ways to improve the college experience for all UAF students.
