I would like to thank Alex Foote for writing the story about Jacob Steffes (Sun Star 10/19).  Jacob will be in so many of our hearts forever.  

I was a close friend of Jake's for a long time, we grew up together.  Jacob had many close friends, better known as the Jedi Council.  I recently moved to Colorado but Jacob and I still spoke over the phone. 

When I heard the news of Jake I immediately returned home to help comfort and be comforted by my friends and family.  Jacob's family was like a second family to so many of us. They never wanted anything but good things for all of us.  

One of the first things I did when I returned home was look at old pictures and old yearbooks.  In my senior year's book Jacob wrote, "I will always remember those carefree days in elementary when I first discovered true love."

I will never forget either Jacob.

We all loved Jacob so much, and will continue to.
