"Crap That Matters." 

Or so claims "The Weekly Pooper," a newsletter assembled by Bartlett RA Brian Hall.  The sheet has been appearing in dormitory stalls throughout upper and lower campus.  Hall, a fifth year senior, has been publishing "Poop" since the beginning of the semester.

"I went to Oregon State before this and we had similar [material].  I just started doing it for fun," reports Hall. 

The newsletter is an amalgam of news snippets, anecdotes, upcoming UAF events, cartoons, reviews, and other assorted randomness.  "I write some of it, when there's going to be an event on campus or if there's some news story that affects students, but a lot of it I just put together," says Hall.

The "Pooper," while starting out relatively small, has found its way to many stalls across campus.  "I try and give them to all of the RA's - basically anyone who will help distribute them," said Hall

The newsletter has even garnered its fair share of recognition from Residence Life.  Hall's efforts were recently given the Community Service of the Month Award by the organization. 

"I will try and get a 'Pooper' out every week this year," said Hall.  May a thousand flushes praise your name.
