UNWANTED,
NO CHARGES A
resident advisor at MBS reported Sep. 30 that several people had been the
victims of unwanted sexual contact from the same male. One victim had been
verbally coerced in he process. None of the victims wanted to press charges, but
the male was trespassed and left UAF. SPEND
IT ALL IN ONE PLACE Police
investigated a suspicious vehicle with its lights off near the Agricultural Farm
just before midnight Sep. 29. Nicholas J. Delconte, 19, was contacted and an
officer located several items containing illegal controlled substances. He was
cited and released. A minor
motor vehicle accident was reported near Signers Hall Sep. 29. NOT A
FAN A
roller skier reported that a truck had tried to force her off the road while she
was roller skiing in the vicinity of Ester Dome Sep. 29. The issue was passed on
to the Alaska State Troopers for further investigation. UP IN
SMOKE The
odor of marijuana was reported near the KSUA studios Oct. 1 around 2 a.m. Police
were unable to locate anyone there, and the matter was turned over to KSUA
management. HOW
'BOUT A DOUBLE? A
23-year-old man was stopped on Farmers Loop for failing to stop at a stop sign
around 3 a.m. Sep. 25. He turned out to be driving while intoxicated. Robert E.
Bailie registered a .166 breath alcohol content, over twice the legal limit of
.08. He was arrested and the vehicle was impounded. THERE'S
ALWAYS A BUT… An
officer was sent to check on a very intoxicated female at the Inupiat House Sep.
25. She was found medically stable but was, after all, an underage drinker. She
was cited and released. DIS-CAR-DED An
abandoned vehicle on Sheep Creek Road was impounded Sep. 25. DIAL S
FOR STUPID Officers
responded to Skarland Hall Sep. 23 after receiving an alarm from a smoke
detector. They discovered residents had tampered with the smoke detector, and
billed them for the response. VALIDATE
THIS! After a
stop for speeding on Tanana Loop Sep. 24, Matthew J. Reiser, 32, was
found to be driving without a valid license. He was cited and released. CASHING
IN Some
cash was reportedly stolen from a desk in the Elvey Building on Sep. 23. HOWDY
NEIGHBOR A
vehicle was reported to have been scratched by the vehicle parked next to it in
the Taku Lot Oct. 1. |
