KEEPING
THE PEACE, QUIET Police
received a noise complaint at Hess Village Sep. 18 because of a loud T.V. in one
apartment. The occupants of the apartment were not home, but an officer turned
the T.V. down for them. They were contacted later regarding the repeated noise
problems. CANCELLATION
POLICY An
erratic driver was stopped on Tanana Loop Sep. 21.
Nineteen-year-old William R. Conger was found to be driving with a
revoked license. He was arrested, and taken to Fairbanks Correctional Center. HOLD
ON TIGHT A
concerned individual notified police that a person might have been held against
her will by her boyfriend Sep. 22. Police contacted the female, who told them
the story was not true and that everything was fine. BIG
KIDS STRIKE AGAIN An
errant piece of playground equipment at the Bunnell Building was reported Sep.
13 and thought to have been broken by older kids. DENIAL UAF
police stopped a car on Cameron Street Sep. 17 for having no taillights. The
driver, Sherry L. Jennings, 45, was found to be driving with a non-valid
license. She proceeded to fail three field sobriety tests, and refused to take a
chemical test. Jennings was arrested for driving while intoxicated, refusal to
submit to a chemical test, and driving without a license. DECONSTRUCTING
THE INSTRUCTIONS During
a stop for an equipment violation on Kuskokwim Drive Sep. 17, Yiming Wang, 27,
was found to be driving in violation of an instructional permit. Wang was cited
and released. THE
BUS TO JAIL After
an early morning stop for speeding near the bus stop Sep. 18, police found
22-year-old Ryan P. Ladegard to be driving while intoxicated. Ladegard
registered a .139 breath alcohol content and was taken to jail. PLAYS
HELL WITH OTHERS A
student who was disruptive in class Sep. 21 was reported to police. Because the
incident was not criminal, the case was forwarded to the Dean of Students. ODDS
AND ENDS An
officer helped the Statewide Metro Drug Unit serve a search warrant on Capricorn
Street Sep. 19. A
debit card was found at the Eielson Building Sep. 17, and was later returned to
its owner. During
a stop for making an illegal turn, 27-year-old Christopher A. Fette was found to
be driving without a license. He was cited and released. Hockey
equipment was reportedly stolen from the Patty Center Sep. 14. A
minor motor vehicle accident was reported in the Arctic Health parking lot Sep.
14. The incident was logged as a hit and run. A
mountain bike was reported stolen from a bike rack at the Wood Center Sep. 21. |
