Dear
Editor, Nice to
see two new administrative positions created, totaling over $200,000 in salaries
plus benefits, on the same day that our tuition is being hiked.
I can already see the benefits that these two positions will add to my
graduate career. More over, they were appointed without the normal open job
search and advertising for the "best candidate". If,
within his first two months of work, the new chancellor can see the need for two
new administrators he is indeed a wise man.
Imagine how many new administrative positions he will be able to create
within the next few years. I need
to graduate, talk to all the right people, and get in line for the university
gravy train. Glad to
see our tuition money will be helping to keep countless Fairbanks residents out
of the unemployment line and secure in administrative positions.
Now if there were just some professors around here to offer some classes
we want so we could be "edumecated." |
