SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATION

A Nanook basketball player has been accused of sexually assaulting a female at the Student Apartment Complex Apr. 10. Police said a final report from the three-week long investigation will be submitted to the DA's office this week and a name will be released at that time.

VIOLENT FEMMES

A female allegedly assaulted another female over a third party at the Student Apartment Complex Apr. 23. The victim declined to file criminal charges. 

Responding to a report of a fight in progress, police found two females engaged in combat at Stevens Hall Apr. 24. Neither wanted to press criminal charges against the other. Four others in the area were issued trespasses from campus. 

SHE SAID, HE SAID

A Fairbanks man was arrested for assaulting his wife at Hess Village around 5 a.m. Apr. 23. The wife claimed that she had not been assaulted, but another witness confirmed the initial report. Stanley T. Active III, 24, was found and arrested for domestic assault and issued a trespass from campus. 

DRUNKEN DELIVERY

An intoxicated female was found passed-out on the Wood Center loading dock just before 2 a.m. Apr. 23. She was cited for minor consuming and released to her sister.

 FREE RIDE

Two juveniles fled without paying for a cab they had hired to take them to the Gruening building Apr. 23. The driver was unable to describe the juveniles who were never caught.

 IT'LL LAST LONGER

A male subject was taking pictures of a female without her permission Apr. 26 at the library.

 PARTY TIME

Four persons were cited for minor consuming at the Cutler Apartments around 8 p.m. Apr. 23.

 A male subject was taken into protective custody after Residence Life requested police assistance with intoxicated persons who refused to leave the Cutler Apartments around 10:30 p.m. Apr. 23. The rest were given disorderly conduct warnings.

Just before 11 p.m. Apr. 23, police were called to deal with more subjects who refused to leave the party. Two persons were issued temporary trespasses from the area. 

SCRIPS SAVE

Police contacted a possible suicidal female at Lathrop Hall Apr. 28. She said that she would not hurt herself because she had taken her medication and was feeling better. An officer notified Health and Counseling.

 WHO'S GOT THE HERB?

An officer noticed a marijuana pipe in the purse of a driver he was pulling over on North Tanana Drive Apr. 23. Marijuana was also found in 19-year-old Tabbatha R. Hornsby's purse. Twenty-year-old passenger Joseph W. Hall also had a small quantity of marijuana and some prescription medications that he had not been prescribed. Both were arrested for having pot, and Hall was taken in for violating his probation.

 A Fairbanks man was cited for possessing marijuana just after midnight Apr. 24. Zarin C. Taylor, 23, tried to walk away from an officer who saw him near Kobuk Drive, but he was contacted at his pickup parked nearby in the woods. He was still acting suspicious after passing field sobriety tests, so the K9 unit was called in for a narcotics sniff. Briko led police to some marijuana and Taylor was cited and released. 

SHADOW BOXING

A possible domestic assault was reported around 1 a.m. No criminal violations were discovered upon further investigation, and one of the involved parties was temporarily trespassed pending a meeting with UAF administration.

 END OF THE ROAD

Police arrested a 47-year-old Fairbanks man Apr. 29 on an extraditable warrant out of Colorado. Driving with a revoked Colorado driver's license, Joseph Hoegerl III was pulled over on the campus perimeter after making an improper turn and failing to signal twice.

LOOTIN'

Several items were reported stolen from the new West Ridge Research Building Apr. 26.

 BEATS THE PATCH

Cash and a pack of cigarettes were stolen from a locker at the Student Recreation Center Apr. 27.

 WASH ME!

An unknown vandal wrote obscene words in the dirt on a vehicle parked at the Physical Plant Apr. 28.

 FROM WOOD TO FAIRBANKS CORRECTIONAL

Police arrested a previously trespassed individual at the Wood Center Apr. 21. John G. Claffey was taken to jail.

SHADY SUSPECT STEALS SHADES

Some sunglasses were reported stolen from the Student Recreation Center Apr. 23.

 BIKE STEALIN' MUSIC

A bike was reported stolen from MBS Apr. 23.

 A bike was stolen from a Hess Village porch Apr. 25.
