SEX ASSAULTS A sexual assault at Skarland Hall was reported Apr. 12. A sexual assault at Moore Hall was reported Apr. 10.
The victim did not want to file charges and the case will be handled
administratively. Several females illegally fondled a highly intoxicated
male's genitals at the Student Apartment Complex the afternoon of Apr. 16. An
investigation is continuing. WE'VE GOT A SPITTER! Alaska State Troopers requested assistance with an
intoxicated male who was walking in traffic on Cameron Street Apr. 17 and was
also wanted for an earlier disturbance at College Corner Laundromat.
Forty-five-year-old Harold T. Prentzel III spit on two Troopers and was arrested
for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and having some marijuana in his
pocket. STREET FIGHTER An officer heading to the hospital observed a male strike
another male in the face at Airport and Cowles Apr. 17. After calling for backup
he detained Rio L. Parham, 19, and called an ambulance. The injured male
declined medical assistance but Parham was arrested for disorderly conduct. MINORS MAJORLY DRUNK Two underage females, who were allegedly very intoxicated,
were taken into protective custody and cited by police at MBS Apr. 15. DRUG DOG DOES DUTY Alaska State Troopers requested the UAF K9 Unit Apr. 18 for a
narcotics sniff on a vehicle off-campus. Briko indicated the presence of the
odor of narcotics and the car was impounded pending a search warrant. Marijuana
and paraphernalia were found on a passenger. EXTRA SET OF HANDS An officer assisted with a medical call at Hess Village Apr.
17. DON'T MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME A possible vagrant was reported in the lounge area of Old
University Park. He told police that he had reason to be there, but they asked
him to stay off the property until they eventually confirmed that he was in fact
a student. REVENGE OF THE BABYSAT Police escorted home two juveniles, around 4 or 5-years-old,
and warned the parents for leaving them unsupervised at the Wood Center Apr. 16. WHAT'S UP? A distraught student called the police from an unknown
location Apr. 15. Police attempts to check on his status and verify that he was
OK were unsuccessful. POOR PARKER A car illegally parked in front of the Police Department was
towed Apr. 16. PRESSURE DROP The tires of several vehicles in the Taku lot were left flat
around 3:00 a.m. Apr. 17. STUDENT REC CRISES Some items were reportedly stolen from the SRC locker room
Apr. 12. Damage to a file cabinet was reported from the SRC Apr.
13. A UAF employee reported harassment from a coworker
around 4:30 a.m. Apr. 15. The situation was non-criminal and handled
administratively. SNATCH Cash was stolen from a purse in the Duckering building Apr.
15. TECH THIEF A laptop was reported stolen from the Wood Center Pub Apr.
16. LATER SKATERS Several skateboarders were contacted near the Patty Center Apr. 16. I spotted some more directly across from the Police Department after reading this report, and they looked like they were having fun to me. |
