Police Blotter

KOOKY COOKIE

Police helped the ambulance crew tend to an unresponsive male at Hess Village who had apparently eaten a cookie laced with illegal substances. An investigation is continuing.

ROCKED AND ROLLED

An officer on patrol discovered a vehicle on its side in the middle of Yankovich Road Apr. 3. Alaska State Troopers were called and arrested the driver for DUI after finding him a short distance away.

ILL COMMUNICATION

An unknown caller made strange, personal statements to a female subject over the phone Apr. 6.

A female subject at Stevens Hall reported harassing phone calls that she and others had received Apr. 6. The case is under investigation.

TROOPER SCOOPER

Alaska State Troopers requested the UAF K-9 unit at Airport Road and University Avenue around 2:00 a.m. Apr. 1. Briko indicated the presence of drugs.

Alaska State Troopers requested the UAF K-9 unit on Peger Road Apr. 3. Briko pointed Troopers to where some cocaine and marijuana paraphernalia were found.

CALL O' THE WILD

Police were notified of a dog that had jumped out of a vehicle near the Fine Arts Complex. Officers attempted to find the owner.

TIME FOR BEDDY BYE

A juvenile was caught out after curfew around 3:00 a.m. Apr. 1. The juvenile, a passenger in a car on University Avenue, was issued a trespass from all UAF property after the car was stopped for a red light violation.

G-MEN

The UAFPD assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation Apr. 7.

E-Z E-BRAKE

After rolling out of its parking spot, a flatbed trailer struck some construction materials behind the Geophysical Institute Apr. 8. There was no evidence of foul play.

NOT4U

A vehicle with license plates belonging to a different vehicle was stopped Apr. 1. The driver was given a warning for moving violations and the plates were taken into police custody.

ALL-ACCESS

A female at the Gruening building complained Apr. 5 that someone had been accessing her office, computer and email while she was gone at night. Officers are investigating.

HELLO, OPERATOR?

A speeding car led police to a driver with a suspended operator's license Apr. 3. Theresa R. Mercer, 19, was cited and released.

LESS WIRELESS

A cell phone was lost at the Gruening building Apr 5.

GONE WIT DA WIND

Residence Life personnel reported a trespassed individual at Hess Village Apr. 2. Police could not locate the man.

HITCHED

The theft of a small trailer was reported from the Physical Plant Apr. 7.

INVALUABLES

Several items were reported stolen from a locker at the Student Recreation Center Apr. 8.

Several thefts of money and car keys were reported from the Fine Arts Complex Apr. 2.

BONKED

An officer was investigating a motor vehicle accident on Taku Dr. Apr. 1.

A minor motor vehicle accident was reported Apr. 1.
