I am not a student at UAF so I was not familiar with your paper, but in my daily activities, I was able to come upon The Sun Star edition dated February 10th and decided to browse through the paper to read what, "Those Up On the Hill were printing." Needless to say, I was very let down. On the week when most of us celebrate Valentine's Day, when your paper could have printed any several articles exposing the virtues of love or commitment, the paper chose to print about the physical aspects. Articles on how to, "Not Forget the Clitoris" and "A Vagina Dialogue". I believe you could have taken a more lofty path and searched for a couple who have been married for a long time and interviewed them or got ideas from dating couples to get their opinions on what subtains true love. Maybe interview several people to see what their most fun or memorable Valentine's Day was. Information on the clitoris would be more appropriate left on a website where those wanting that information could seek it out on their own and not in a public newspaper. |
