MR. PEEPERS A man who was standing outside the Skarland Hall women's showering room and looking inside was reported to police Feb. 4. They issued him a trespass from all UAF residence halls until next fall. AIN'T GONNA DO IT A resident of the Cutler Apartment Complex was arrested Feb. 4 for an outstanding warrant. Twenty-year-old Celanise Scott of Fairbanks had failed to appear in court after being charged with minor consuming and was issued a trespass from the apartments for one year. BEAT ON THE STREET An officer assisted Alaska State Troopers with a fight in progress on University Avenue around 3:00 a.m. Feb. 3. A woman was arrested for assaulting another woman, and a man was also charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license. PEOPLE ARE STRANGE Someone who was acting strange in the vicinity of the MBS dorms was reported to police around 11:30 p.m. Jan. 31. Officers advised the male that he was trespassing, cited him for underage drinking, and then gave him a ride home. DON"T IMBIBE BEFORE YOU DRIVE A driver on Tanana Loop was arrested for DUI around 3:00 a.m. Jan. 31. Adarrious Shute Patterson, 23, had a breath alcohol content of .129 and was taken to Fairbanks Correctional Center. The vehicle was released to its owner. PERPENDICULAR PARKING A van was abandoned and left sideways across Tanana Loop Jan. 31. It was reported to police around 5:00 a.m. and they found no one at the scene. Numerous calls were made to contact the owner but eventually it was impounded. COLORING INSIDE THE LINES An officer assisted the Fairbanks Police and Alaska State Troopers with an individual who was driving erratically on the Steese Highway. WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS An officer assisted the Alaska State Troopers with a motor vehicle accident on University Avenue Feb. 5. CHRONIC CRASHER OR COINCIDENTAL COLLISIONS? Police determined a hit and run accident that occurred in the
MBS parking lot Jan. 30 to be criminal mischief. A hit and run accident in the Taku parking lot was reported Feb. 2. A hit and run accident in the IARC parking lot was reported around 7:30 p.m. Feb. 3. MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING A caller on Jan. 31 reported a possible crime that occurred on campus over a month ago, but refused to tell police any of the details. The report was taken for "informational purposes only." BETTER THAN ATARI An officer assisted Nenana Police with a computer-related crime Feb. 1. PURSE PURSUIT A purse was reported stolen from the Irving building Feb. 5. |
